Savour the Journey with Arbor Hospice for 7th annual fundraising gala

Evening’s auction will feature unique paintings by musician, Tony Bennett, to raise funds for nonprofit hospice

Arbor Hospice will celebrate the things we cherish most in life during its 7th annual Savour the Journey: La Dolce Vita fundraising event at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 at the Sheraton Ann Arbor Hotel, located at 3200 Boardwalk St. in Ann Arbor.

Guests will have the opportunity to savor an Italian inspired dinner featuring delizioso cuisine and swinging entertainment provided by Sinatra-esque singer Mark Randisi, featuring the Motor City Horns and the Community High School Jazz Ensemble.

The evening will also feature a live auction of amazing experiences and unique one-of-a-kind items for bid, including three paintings created by Grammy-award winning musician Tony Bennett, or Anthony Benedetto to those who are familiar with his works of art. The colorful paintings depict beautiful Italian landscapes and city views in rich greens, subtle yellows and vibrant blues.

Savour the Journey co-chairs, Carl and Pamela Bumgardner, Christopher and Paula Prisby, Dr. Genevieve Stewart and Dr. Janet Schlaff, and Dr. Kathleen Wade and Susan Smith are the driving force behind the creativity, vision and imagination for this year’s event,” said Judy Vindici, director of philanthropy for The Arbor Hospice Foundation. “Their passion for our mission is evident in every detail, helping to ensure we raise important funds that allow Arbor Hospice to provide quality, compassionate end-of-life care to our patients and their families.”

Savour the Journey is generously sponsored by Royal Truck & Trailer Sales & Service, Inc. and Dunning Toyota.

Benefactor tickets are $350 and include a pre-reception. Patron tickets are $250. All tickets include complementary valet and open bar. Sponsorship opportunities are also available beginning at $2,500. Proceeds from the event will support essential programs such as pediatric hospice, grief support services, complementary therapies, and uncompensated care through The Arbor Hospice Foundation.

Since Savour the Journey’s debut in May 2011, more than 1,800 guests, including the region’s top community and business leaders, have supported the work of Arbor Hospice. This event has raised more than $1.17 million for Arbor Hospice programs and services.
