ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Oct. 5, 2021) – The Edward F. Redies Foundation recently donated $20,000 to The Residence of Arbor Hospice, an inpatient hospice unit located at 440 W. Russell St. in Saline, Michigan. The funds will be utilized to provide end-of-life care to low-income patients at The Residence.
The Residence of Arbor Hospice has been servicing the Washtenaw County area since 1998, and as seen as a pillar of the community. The facility offers long-term and short-term care to patients receiving end-of-life care, and provides support, resources and relief to their families.
The Redies Foundation, a local family foundation, is a long-time supporter of The Residence of Arbor Hospice and has been making donations to the not-for-profit for more than 18 years. This is its largest donation to-date. Amanda Redies recently began working as the chair of the foundation, with a goal of involving a younger generation of Redies family members performing the philanthropic work that the foundation has carried out for years.
