Arbor Hospice and Hospice of Michigan Promote Three Leaders

Gloria Bunting, Marcie Hillary and Dr. Michael Paletta assume larger roles

Arbor Hospice and Hospice of Michigan are pleased to announce three recent changes within their leadership structure.

Gloria Bunting, previously director of finance, has been promoted to senior director. Bunting’s promotion enhances the financial stewardship of the senior director team, through her extensive knowledge across the financial spectrum. In her time with Arbor Hospice and Hospice of Michigan, Bunting has demonstrated high accounting standards, as well as developed an incredibly efficient budgeting process.

Additionally, Marcie Hillary and Dr. Michael Paletta, vice president of community relations and vice president of medical affairs, respectively, have been named to senior vice president roles. These promotions recognize the scope of their additional responsibilities following the 2016 Hospice of Michigan-Arbor Hospice affiliation and the formation of the Northstar Care Community. Hillary’s 20 year tenure began at Hospice of Michigan, where she focused on community relations and development.  Her responsibilities have expanded to also include leadership of fundraising efforts at Arbor Hospice. Dr. Paletta oversees a team of physicians, nurse practitioners and licensed clinicians who provide care to more than 1,500 patients each day. He also has oversight of the clinical quality, compliance, and education/training teams across the organization.

“In our efforts to stay ahead of the needs and demands in our industry, we have long been flexible in making organizational changes designed to ensure quality patient care while providing a supportive environment for our caregiving staff,” stated executive vice president, chief operating officer Patrick Miller, “It is in this spirit that we are pleased to announce these changes within our leadership structure. We’re confident that these moves will advance our continued pursuit of quality care and operations.”
